Summary
Lilly is seeking an Associate Director - BRD Automation to join their Bioprocess Operations team in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves managing the process automation group to support the manufacture of drug substances for clinical trials.
About the Role
As the Associate Director for BRD Automation, you will be responsible for recruiting and developing automation engineers, managing contract personnel, ensuring compliance with data integrity requirements, and driving continuous improvement in operational excellence. You will also serve as a liaison between the corporate Engineering Tech Center and the BRD organization, ensuring collaboration and alignment across teams.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related science field.
- Minimum 5+ years of pharmaceutical manufacturing experience in engineering or related functional area.
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Process Automation/Control engineering.
- Previous supervisory experience or demonstrated technical leadership.
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.
Preferred:
- Knowledge in data systems, historians, and reporting platforms.
- Knowledge of project management and vendor management.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Experience in Capital project delivery.
- Technical expertise in one or more automation platforms.
- cGMP Regulatory knowledge in process or automation engineering.
