Summary
Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is seeking an Associate Director, Strategic Programs to join their team in Titusville, NJ. The role focuses on strategic program management and change management to drive value creation for the Innovative Medicine North America business.
About the Role
The Associate Director will lead strategic program management for complex, cross-enterprise initiatives including program design, integration, execution planning, risk identification, senior stakeholder management, and executive reporting. They will develop and implement change management plans using formal methodologies like PROSCI, lead process improvements and transformation efforts, manage cross-functional project teams, and ensure alignment with business objectives and KPIs. Responsibilities also include managing vendors and external partners, overseeing critical metrics, and supporting initiatives driven by the Strategy, Analytics and Transformation organization.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 7 years of overall business experience preferably in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
- 5 years of formal Project and/or Change Management experience managing large programs or strategic initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and hold others accountable for delivery.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills across functions and levels.
- Ability to present targeted data and KPIs to senior and executive leaders.
- Expertise in scenario planning and risk management.
Preferred:
- Post-graduate degree (e.g., MBA, MA, MS).
- Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, PROSCI, or Six Sigma Green Belt.
- Experience with project planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, SmartSheet, Planisware).
- Experience with visualization or business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau).
- Experience with change management frameworks (e.g., PROSCI).
- Previous people management or team leadership experience.
- Previous resource and/or capacity management experience.
