About the Role
As an Associate Legal Counsel, you will draft, review, and negotiate various commercial agreements, partner with marketing on compliance matters, provide legal guidance to business units, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify legal risks and develop solutions. You will also refine legal processes to enhance efficiency across the organization.
About You
Required:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar.
- 3+ years of experience at a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
- Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, particularly SaaS, technology, and vendor contracts.
- Ability to independently manage multiple matters and lead negotiations from initial intake through execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
- Experience within the broker-dealer, fintech, or broader financial services industry.
- Familiarity with marketing and advertising review in a regulated environment.
- Strong business judgment and a practical, solution-oriented approach to balancing legal risk with business priorities.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
