Summary
CopperPoint Insurance Companies is seeking an Associate Underwriter I to join their team in Oregon, United States. The role involves assisting the Underwriter with quoting, issuance, and maintenance of new and renewal business across Workers’ Compensation and Property & Casualty lines.
About the Role
As an Associate Underwriter I, you will be responsible for preparing quotes, reviewing quotes for quality control, soliciting renewal information, ensuring quality assurance throughout the policy lifecycle, binding and issuing policies, and providing professional communication to agency personnel.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in a related discipline such as Marketing, Finance, or Business.
- Minimum 4 years of full-time work experience in insurance can be utilized on a year for year basis as a substitute for a degree.
- Knowledge and/or experience with commercial lines of insurance, specifically Property, GL, Umbrella & Auto Lines.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, and problem solve.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Experience partnering effectively with Underwriters.
- Ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change.
