About the Role
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will deliver wellness, sick, and urgent care, perform soft tissue surgeries, develop treatment plans for patients, and conduct high-quality spay/neuter surgeries. You will also maintain medical records, communicate effectively with clients and staff, and adhere to infectious disease protocols while supporting the mission of a no-kill community.
About You
Required:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary college.
- Current Virginia Veterinary License, DEA license, AVMA membership, and liability insurance coverage.
Preferred:
- Experience in an animal shelter, high-volume spay/neuter clinic, or public hospital environment.
- Strong computer skills and ability to navigate shelter software and Microsoft Office products.

- Annual full-time salary range of $90k–$110k, commensurate with experience.
- Part-time hourly rate starting at $60 per hour, commensurate with experience.
