Howard Technology Solutions is seeking an Audio Visual Technician to join their team in North Carolina. The role involves installing, testing, and commissioning custom commercial AV integrated systems.
About the Role
As an Audio Visual Technician, you will be responsible for reviewing project documentation, installing AV systems gear, providing on-site service, maintaining communication with customers, and leading sub-contractors on job sites. You will also need to troubleshoot system issues and ensure the successful installation of AV systems according to project specifications.
About You
Required:
- Strong communication skills.
- Experience with installing, testing and commissioning custom audio, video and control systems.
- Ability to diagnose/troubleshoot and resolve various service issues related to Integrated AV systems.
- Strong knowledge of signal flow, audio/video signal types, cabling, connector types and associated terminations procedures.
- Must be able to read and follow AV system schematics and supporting documentation.
- Availability to travel as needed throughout designated territories.
Preferred:
- At least 1 year of commercial AV experience.
- Documented experience installing and commissioning small to medium AV systems.
- A thorough understanding of systems integration techniques.
- Basic understanding of IP networking.
- General CTS certification is preferred.
