Gerber Collision & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Technician to join their team in Harvey, LA. The role involves providing exceptional customer service through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of vehicles to restore them to pre-accident condition.
About the Role
As an Auto Body Technician, you will be responsible for disassembling, repairing, and reassembling vehicles, ensuring quality repairs and customer satisfaction. You will plan repair work, prepare cost estimates, and use various tools to execute repairs. The role requires collaboration with team members to achieve repair facility KPIs and uphold the company's standards of speed and quality.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Successful completion of technical school program OR a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
4 - 5 years minimum prior auto body collision repair experience.
Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
Preferred:
Experience with various tools such as cutting guns, plasma cutters, and hydraulic jacks.
Ability to work collaboratively within an auto body shop.
