Northern Architectural Systems is seeking an AutoCAD Drafter to join their team in Teterboro, NJ. The role involves producing shop drawings, fabrication details, and installation diagrams for aluminum window and door systems.
About the Role
As an AutoCAD Drafter, you will support the production of detailed drawings under supervision, create both 2D and 3D designs, and assist in preparing fabrication and installation details. You will be responsible for incorporating changes based on feedback from senior designers and clients, and act as a liaison between the design team and engineers.
About You
Required:
- Certificate or diploma in Drafting, CAD Technology, Architectural Technology or related field.
- 2-4 years of experience as an AutoCAD Drafter.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (model space/paper space, viewports, blocks, XREF basics).
- Basic understanding of architectural and shop drawings.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal.
Preferred:
- Experience with window/door systems, curtainwall, storefront, or metal fabrication.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam or PDF markup tools.
- Exposure to Revit or 3D modeling tools.
- Fluency in MS Office.
