Lane Valente Industries is seeking an Automatic Door Technician to join their team in Houston, TX. The role involves servicing and repairing automatic doors and related equipment.
About the Role
As an Automatic Door Technician, you will be responsible for performing repairs and replacements of ADA operators, manual and swing doors, door closers, pivot assemblies, panic hardware, and various types of automatic doors. You will utilize carpentry skills for partition framing and installation of doors and windows, conduct preventative maintenance, and ensure excellent service orientation to customers while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
About You
Required:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience as an automatic door installer or service technician.
- Proficient knowledge in servicing a variety of doors, equipment, and control devices.
- AAADM certification is a plus.
- Carpentry skills for partition framing with metal/wood studs and installation of doors/windows.
- Experience in commercial doors, automatic doors, door hardware, storefront doors, door closers, emergency exit devices, and preventative maintenance.
- Strong mechanical aptitude.
- Clean driving record is a must for operating company vehicles.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work well under time constraints.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to processes.
- Strong service orientation to customers.
- Ability to thrive in a highly fast-paced environment.
Preferred:
- Experience working with door manufacturers such as Horton, Stanley, Record USA, Besam, and Assa Abloy.
