Monro, Inc. is seeking an Automotive General Service Technician - (Tire & Lube Tech) to join their team in James Island, SC. The role involves performing basic routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
About the Role
As a General Service Technician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to guests by performing vehicle services such as tire changes, oil changes, and basic maintenance. You will also assist in inventory management, maintain cleanliness in the store, and adhere to safety standards while operating equipment. The position requires effective communication of vehicle issues and proposed solutions to ensure guest satisfaction.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Automotive training including basic car maintenance and repair or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must possess a current valid driver’s license and have a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Required to own a basic set of tools or participate in Monro’s tool purchase program.
Preferred:
- Ability to take initiative in identifying problems and recommending solutions.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
