Roush is seeking an Automotive Mechanic Senior to join their team in Allen Park, MI. The role involves modifying cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
About the Role
As an Automotive Mechanic Senior, you will maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders, repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, read and interpret service procedures, train and mentor team members, maintain vehicle records, and ensure shop equipment is operational.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 8 years of work experience as a mechanic.
Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.
Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others.
Has own tools with rolling toolbox and able to work overtime and weekends.
Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.
Preferred:
Certificate in Automotive Technology or related.
State Mechanic Certification(s).
Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancers.
