Roush is seeking an Automotive Mechanic Senior to join their team in Greer, SC. The role involves modifying cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance.
About the Role
As an Automotive Mechanic Senior, you will perform initial vehicle diagnostics, maintain test vehicle conditions, repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions, and train new team members. You will also participate in daily shop meetings and ensure that all technical deliverables meet Roush and customer standards.
About You
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 8 years of work experience as a Mechanic.
Excellent knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment.
Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
Able to work independently and as part of a team and able to mentor and train others.
Has own tools with rolling toolbox.
Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures.
Preferred:
Certificate in Automotive Technology or related.
State Mechanic Certification(s).
Valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of vehicle alignments, air conditioning (A/C) system repairs, tire machines and balancers.
Experience working with BMW vehicles 2021 or new, and/or proficiency in speaking/reading German.
Experience working in a manufacturing facility.
Knowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
Familiar with vehicle integration software and data collection.
Ability to work overtime as needed including weekends.
