Stellantis is seeking an Automotive Test Technician - Impact Lab to join their team in Chelsea, MI. The role involves managing instrumentation for data collection on vehicles and components, ensuring high-quality data for project analysis.
About the Role
As an Automotive Test Technician, you will be responsible for preparing test setups, conducting tests, and acquiring data independently or with engineers. You will manage instrumentation and calibration of transducers and data acquisition systems, review test plans, and ensure the correct equipment is used for data acquisition under specified load cases. Your hands-on experience with data acquisition and processing software will be essential for saving, processing, analyzing data, and creating reports.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Familiarity with instrumentation, data acquisition, and vehicle testing
- Basic computer skills (MS Office)
- Valid driver's license (with no more than 2 points)
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
Preferred:
- Minimum of an A.A.S. degree in Electronics Engineering Technology or similar discipline
- Familiarity with digital signal processing and experience setting up and conducting tests
- Experience in performing data acquisition and processing using Siemens Test Lab, Head Acoustics' Artemis, or similar software
- Experience with NVH instrumentation (e.g. accelerometers, force transducers, tachometers, and microphones)
- Experience in Data Analysis and Reporting
- Experience with Chrysler Diagnostic Application
