Summary
Amentum is seeking an Automotive Worker (PREPO) to join their team in Fort Polk, LA. The role involves performing a variety of minor repairs and services to maintain motor vehicles.
About the Role
As an Automotive Worker (PREPO), you will be responsible for tasks such as placing and maintaining decals on vehicles, checking and replacing batteries, rotating and repairing tires, washing and cleaning vehicles, and performing minor repairs. You will assist in major overhaul jobs, maintain tools and equipment, and ensure all work is performed according to the applicable Technical Manual.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One or more years’ experience in vehicle maintenance.
- Valid and current state driver’s license.
- Ability to manipulate and use hand tools and hydraulic equipment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in maintenance and repair of military tactical vehicles.
- ASE and/or Diesel Mechanic Certifications.
- Experience in field repairs and recovery.
