Summary
Americo Financial Life and Annuity is seeking an AVP, Actuarial Valuation to lead key valuation and financial reporting functions across their life and annuity portfolio in downtown Kansas City, MO.
About the Role
As the AVP, Actuarial Valuation, you will oversee quarterly valuation processes, strengthen GAAP and statutory reporting accuracy, and guide the evolution of Americo’s Prophet 360 modeling environment. You will lead a team of actuarial associates, ensure the integrity of reserves and model results, and collaborate with Finance, Risk, and IT to support audit readiness and improve process automation.
About You
Required:
- Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) required.
- 8 to 15 years of actuarial experience, including management or team leadership in valuation or financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and Statutory valuation frameworks and actuarial guidelines, including LDTI.
- Hands-on experience with Prophet 360 or comparable actuarial modeling software.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Excel, and familiarity with SQL or Python.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners.
