State of Alaska is seeking an AVTEC Instructor/Department Head: Maritime to join their team in Seward, AK. The role involves serving as an instructional subject matter expert and leading the Alaska Maritime Training Center.
About the Role
As an AVTEC Instructor/Department Head, you will oversee the planning, development, and delivery of training programs, supervise full-time and adjunct instructors, and manage various initiatives and projects. You will also be responsible for optimizing training technologies and ensuring the success of students in completing their training and securing employment.
About You
Required:
Four years of journey-level trade experience in the applicable field.
Two years of professional experience developing, coordinating, and presenting adult training or vocational education programs.
Preferred:
A bachelor's degree from an accredited college in the applicable field.
An industry recognized professional certification in the applicable field.
Experience with developing, drafting, editing, or submitting updates on United States Coast Guard training courses.
