BOOZ ALLEN HAMILTON INTERNATIONAL (U.K.) LTD is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer, Mid to join their team in Rome, NY. The role involves managing, administering, supporting, and enhancing cloud environments to ensure continuous improvement and rapid problem resolution.
About the Role
As an AWS Cloud Engineer, Mid, you will be responsible for deploying and maintaining AWS environments, designing and implementing software applications, and working in an Agile team-based environment. You will also contribute to solutions for a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity, and may guide activities of more junior employees.
About You
Required:
2+ years of experience deploying and maintaining AWS environments and resources.
Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining software applications.
Experience using Linux operating system and Bash scripting.
Knowledge of AWS core services such as EC2, S3, or Lambda.
Knowledge of AWS networking concepts such as VPCs, subnets, or security groups.
Ability to work in an Agile, team-based environment using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Top Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics.
Ability to obtain DoD IAT Level II or Level III Certification within 60 days of hire.
Preferred:
Experience with Java, C, C++, or Go.
Experience with build automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, or DevSecOps.
Experience interacting with AWS APIs programmatically such as Boto3.
Experience writing and maintaining CloudFormation templates.
Experience diagnosing and resolving issues within AWS environments.
Experience with software or systems architecture.
Knowledge of IAM roles, policies, users, and groups.
DoD IAT Level II or Level III Certification.
