Summary

CGI is seeking an AWS Java Full Stack Developer to join their team in Reston, VA. The role focuses on designing, developing, and delivering scalable cloud-native applications with an emphasis on backend services.

About the Role

As an AWS Java Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for leading backend design and implementation efforts using Java and Spring Boot within AWS environments. Your tasks will include architecting microservices-based solutions, designing RESTful APIs, integrating with databases, and ensuring adherence to security and architectural best practices. You will collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.

About You

Required:

6+ years of overall software development experience, with strong emphasis on backend engineering.
4+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, with strong expertise in Spring Boot and microservice architecture.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, Lambda, and RDS.
Experience developing and deploying applications using CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
Strong experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

Preferred:

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
Working knowledge of modern front-end technologies (Angular, React, or similar).
Familiarity with DevOps practices and application observability tools.
