Gallagher is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer - Contract to join their team in a fully remote role. The position involves providing technical leadership in cloud computing and automation, focusing on deploying infrastructure services for cloud platforms, including Snowflake infrastructure on Azure.

About the Role

As an Azure Cloud Engineer, you will design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure on Azure using Terraform and other IaC tools. Your responsibilities will include building and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, developing cloud design patterns, evaluating architecture for various cloud models, contributing to DevOps development, and providing 24x7 support for critical systems.

About You

Required:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years in IT disciplines including cloud architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or operations.
Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, security features, data warehousing fundamentals, and resource monitoring.
Proficiency in Azure Shell/PowerShell scripting and Snowflake infrastructure deployment.

Preferred:

Knowledge of technical architecture components and business process re-engineering.
Familiarity with Windows and Linux server architectures, container tech (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or similar providers.
