About the Role
As a Bankruptcy Paralegal, you will be responsible for preparing, filing, and serving pleadings in bankruptcy courts, managing case calendars, drafting proofs of claim, and collaborating with attorneys and clients on case developments. You will also monitor case deadlines, assist with claims reconciliation, and provide support for hearings and trials.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of substantive bankruptcy experience, ideally within a law firm.
Preferred:
- Deep familiarity with bankruptcy procedures, pleadings, and claims reconciliation.
- Proficiency with CM/ECF electronic court filing systems in New Jersey and federal bankruptcy courts.
