About the Role
As a Battery Modeling Engineer, you will leverage your understanding of battery chemistry and physics to accelerate materials innovation for next-generation power solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing AI/ML models to predict material performance, applying atomistic simulation methods, integrating computational workflows with experimental data, and collaborating with multi-functional teams to guide material synthesis efforts.
About You
Required:
- BS degree in Material Science, Chemical, Chemistry, Physics, Computer Science or related field.
- Experience with applying AI/ML techniques such as machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
- Programming skills in languages such as Python.
Preferred:
- Four or more years of experience in AI/ML, Generative AI, computational chemistry, or computational materials science in battery materials or related energy storage systems.
- Deep understanding of battery electrochemistry and degradation mechanisms for lithium-ion or other advanced battery chemistries.
- Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) and atomistic simulation software (e.g., VASP, LAMMPS).
- Experience managing and analyzing large datasets from simulations and experiments.
