Summary
BK Behavior is seeking a Behavior Technician (BT) to join their team in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves working one-on-one with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities, implementing individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
About the Role
As a Behavior Technician, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) developed by a BCBA, provide one-on-one therapy in various settings, collect accurate data on client progress, assist clients in developing essential skills, maintain a safe learning environment, collaborate with supervisors and families, and participate in ongoing training and team meetings.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain patient, professional, and compassionate.
- Reliable transportation (if required for travel).
- Ability to pass background check.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or related field.
- Experience working with children or individuals with special needs.
- RBT certification preferred (or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire).
- Experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, or behavioral challenges.
