About the Role
As a Behavioral Health Care Manager I, you will be responsible for assessing member needs, ensuring access to quality behavioral healthcare, and coordinating treatment plans. Your daily tasks will include using clinical judgment to evaluate cases, referring cases to Peer Reviewers, and monitoring member outcomes to optimize health benefits.
About You
Required:
- MA/MS in social work, counseling, or a related behavioral health field, or a degree in nursing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with facility-based and/or outpatient psychiatric and substance abuse treatment.
- Current active unrestricted license (LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, LPC, LMFT, RN, or Clinical Psychologist) to practice in California.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in utilization management with complex psychiatric/substance abuse cases.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word and Outlook).
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
