About the Role
As a Behavioral Health Emergency Services Clinician, you will be responsible for conducting assessments and interventions in various settings, developing relationships with other agencies, conducting diagnostic assessments, and implementing crisis intervention strategies. You will also ensure timely documentation and provide services in a trauma-informed and culturally competent manner.
About You
Required:
- Master's degree in Counseling, Psychiatric Social Work, Psychology, Art Therapy, Psychiatric Nursing or other directly related discipline.
- Considerable post-Master’s degree experience providing mental health services, including at least one year of experience working with seriously mentally ill individuals in crisis.
- Licensure by the appropriate board of the Virginia Department of Health Professions.
Preferred:
- Experience providing services to individuals experiencing a behavioral health emergency.
- Experience working with clients with co-occurring substance use disorders.
- Experience collaborating with criminal justice partners.
