Summary
Gateway Regional Medical Center is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician (CNA) for the Women's Unit to provide direct support and care to individuals with mental health, behavioral, or substance use disorders during night shifts.
About the Role
As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will assist in implementing treatment plans, monitor patient behavior, and ensure a safe and supportive environment. You will work closely with therapists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to help patients develop coping skills and achieve their treatment goals. Responsibilities include observing and documenting patient progress, leading therapeutic activities, de-escalating crisis situations, and providing emotional support.
About You
Required:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Current Basic Life Support (AHA or American Red Cross BLS) certification.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training course (CPI) required within 1 month of hire date.
Preferred:
- Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Previous Behavioral Health experience.
