About the Role

As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will be responsible for meeting patient care needs, collecting patient data, and providing care using age-related interventions. Your duties will include using therapeutic communication skills, assisting with therapeutic and recreational activities, processing admissions and discharges, monitoring patient conditions, and documenting care effectiveness. You will also interact with patients, families, and healthcare practitioners to ensure comprehensive care.

About You

Required:

High School Education/GED or equivalent.
Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) certification.
Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS certification.

Preferred:

Associate's/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience.
Two years' experience in acute or long-term mental healthcare hospital.
Licensed Psychiatric Technician (LPT) licensure in state of practice.
