About the Role
As a Benefits Consultant focused on Health & Welfare Consulting, you will lead consulting projects, mentor associates, and promote teamwork. Your responsibilities will include analyzing and presenting data for client benefit programs, managing benefit plan renewals, developing pricing and budgets for self-insured plans, negotiating with vendors, and monitoring market trends to provide innovative solutions.
About You
Required:
- 5-10 years' experience working with Health & Welfare plan financials, preferably at a benefit consulting/brokerage firm or through a health underwriting/actuarial function at an insurance company.
- Experience with self-insured medical underwriting is required.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- Actuarial exam completion and/or accreditation preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of health insurance industry and employee benefits strategy.
