Summary
Milbank LLP is seeking a Billing Specialist to support billing activities for specific Practice Groups in the Kansas City Metropolitan Area. The role involves processing client invoices, monitoring unbilled inventory, and ensuring compliance with billing guidelines.
About the Role
As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up client matters according to requirements, reviewing compliance with billing guidelines, preparing proformas and invoices, troubleshooting client invoice issues, and communicating effectively with attorneys and administrative departments. You will also monitor work in progress (WIP) and assist in various billing and collection functions as needed.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Accounting or Business.
- 3+ years of experience in a large law firm billing department or comparable industry.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.
Preferred:
- Proficiency in Elite Enterprise or 3E.
- Experience with BillBlast, eBilling Hub, and E-Billing vendor sites.
- Experience with Design Gallery, ARCS, Target*Cash, Intapp Open, and Intapp Time.
- Detail-oriented with flexibility for overtime when necessary.
