About the Role
As a Bindery Operator 1, you will be responsible for operating auxiliary binding machines, setting up automatic bindery machines, inspecting equipment for safety, and directing crew through production. You will also monitor quality, output, and productivity while making necessary adjustments to ensure efficient operation.
About You
Required:
- Familiarity with different paper weights, sizes, kinds, and colors.
- Ability to use standard and specialized tools to adjust and maintain bindery machines.
- Knowledge of operating procedures for bindery equipment such as folders, cutters, collators, and stitchers.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with basic mathematics to understand job orders and make adjustments.
- Skill in making adjustments to powered machines using hand tools.
