About the Role
As a Border Patrol Agent, you will be responsible for detecting and questioning individuals suspected of violating immigration and customs laws, preventing and apprehending aliens and smugglers, and patrolling the international boundary using various government assets. You will also perform physical searches, prepare investigative reports, and utilize intelligence information to track illegal operations.
About You
Required:
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in law enforcement.
- Proficient in the use of firearms and preparing investigative reports.
Preferred:
- Current or prior law enforcement experience, including military police assignments.
- Ability to speak and read Spanish.
Benefits
- Base salary ranging from $63,148 to $120,145 per year.
- Recruitment incentive of up to $20,000 and retention incentive of up to $40,000 over four years.
