About the Role
As a Bridge Engineering Intern, you will support various engineering tasks aimed at developing your technical, social, and ethical skills. You will learn basic principles of Bridge Engineering, assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations, and help prepare final design plans and cost estimates. This internship is part of a 12-week program starting on May 18th, 2026, with flexible start dates.
About You
Required:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering or related Undergraduate program with an anticipated graduation date of December 2026 or May 2027.
- Must be 18 or older.
- Demonstrated interest in Civil / Structural Engineering or related field.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing and office automation tools.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
- Authorization to work in the United States at the start of the internship.
Preferred:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering or related Master’s or PhD program.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
- Interest in UAS drone flying.
- Experience using Mathcad and Sap2000.
- Enjoy working outdoors and comfortable working at heights (40ft+).
- Prior internship and leadership involvement on campus.
