WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Full-Time Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join their team in Raleigh, NC. The role involves leading bridge inspection projects and ensuring compliance with national standards.
About the Role
As a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, you will plan, schedule, and perform bridge inspections, generate detailed reports, and conduct engineering calculations for bridge repairs. You will ensure compliance with safety guidelines and make ethical decisions regarding company resources while working in a dynamic environment.
About You
Required:
- Associate’s degree in a construction related discipline or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in bridge design and/or bridge inspection.
- NHI Course 130055 Safety Inspection of In-Service Bridges Certificate.
- Proficient self-discipline with attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Physically capable of performing field work including climbing ladders and working in adverse weather conditions.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements.
- Proven track record of upholding workplace safety.
Preferred:
- Engineer in Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
- Additional FHWA/NHI Training - (130078) Bridge Inspection Techniques for Nonredundant Steel Tension Members.
- Experience with drafting software (AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.).
- Experience with engineering calculation software (AASHTOWare Bridge Rating, Mathcad, Sap2000, etc.).
- Comfortable working at heights and interest in obtaining SPRAT Certification.
- Experience with Inspecting Complex Bridges.
- FAA Part 107 certification or interest in UAS Drone flying.
- Familiarity with various NDT techniques.
- Interest in Programming and/or experience with databases, data analytics, or APIs.
