WSP in the U.S. is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader - Senior Structural Engineer to join their Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in New England, with offices in Boston, Worcester, Glastonbury, Merrimack, and Providence.
About the Role
As a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, you will lead inspection projects for bridges, tunnels, and ancillary structures. Your responsibilities include performing structural engineering work, preparing load ratings, developing plans using AutoCAD, and providing guidance to entry-level engineers. You will work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to safety and ethical standards while managing multiple concurrent projects.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
- 7 to 10 years of experience in bridge, tunnel or ancillary inspection or design.
- Engineer in Training Certification (PE Preferred).
- Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
- Physically capable of performing continuous field work, including working at heights.
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and provide leadership to junior team members.
- Advanced proficiency with technical writing and Microsoft Office.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer Certification.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Active participation in local professional practice organizations.
