About the Role
As a Budget and Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for fiscal analysis and budget management, including constructing data for budgeting, creating and analyzing financial reports, managing department funds, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. You will also forecast future revenue and expenses, implement budget allocations, and act as a liaison with various campus units to resolve financial matters.
About You
Required:
- Thorough knowledge of finance policies and procedures supporting research and educational activities.
- Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.
- Five or more years of relevant work experience, or combination of education and relevant work experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to develop and maintain cooperative professional relationships.
Preferred:
- Thorough knowledge of finance policies and procedures in a university environment.
- Experience with UC Berkeley's online and web-based accounting systems.
- Master's degree in finance or accounting, CPA, or other related advanced education in fiscal management.
