Summary
Bureau Veritas is seeking a Building Inspector to join their team at DFW Airport. The role involves enforcing building codes and energy codes for compliance during construction and alterations.
About the Role
As a Building Inspector, you will assist in the enforcement and implementation of building codes and energy codes, perform construction document plan reviews and inspections, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations and other mandated design standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure efficient compliance of construction projects and keep abreast of new code changes.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Three (3) years’ experience in construction inspections and construction document plan examination.
- Possession of an active status International Code Council (ICC) Commercial Building Inspector Certificate and other relevant ICC certifications.
- Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
Preferred:
- Experience using Microsoft Office Applications and municipal building department permitting software systems.
- Experience using Apple iPad and related inspection applications.
- Experience using Blue Beam and Adobe Acrobat applications.
