About the Role
As a Building Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting commercial, industrial, and residential buildings during various stages of construction and remodeling. Your duties will include ensuring compliance with applicable codes, issuing notices for violations, and approving building permits. You will also provide exemplary customer service and maintain a positive environment.
About You
Required:
- Florida State Building Inspector and/or Plans Examiner license(s).
- Florida State 1 & 2 Family Dwelling Inspector License.
- Maintenance of a valid Florida Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of the Florida Building Code and the International Code Council.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of general office equipment- copier/fax/scanner, phone.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions.
- Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment.
- High energy level and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, and document/database software.
