RS is seeking a Business Development Manager - Product Specialist for Automation & Control in the Philadelphia/Eastern Region. This role focuses on driving sales and developing customer relationships in the automation sector.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager - Product Specialist, you will spend 50% of your time on customer calls with Key Account Managers and the other 50% building direct relationships with customers. You will contribute to the growth of the Americas business by aligning sales strategies, providing technology insights, and managing technology projects within accounts. Your responsibilities include identifying opportunities for growth, qualifying customer needs, implementing sales strategies, and maintaining customer engagement.

About You

Required:

Bachelor's degree in business or related field or 5-7 years in business development.
Demonstrated ability and track record of new business development.
Technical knowledge of automation components including Motors, Drives, PLCs, HMIs, Industrial PCs, and networking.
Experience of solution-based sales techniques.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

Experience with SalesForce software.
