Blackbird Labs is seeking a Business Development Representative to join their team in New York, United States. The role involves identifying, prospecting, and qualifying local restaurants to bring onto the Blackbird platform.
About the Role
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will own the top of the sales funnel, responsible for sourcing leads, conducting outreach, and being the first line of communication with restaurants. You will develop relationships across the industry and work towards ambitious new restaurant acquisition goals.
About You
Required:
1-3 years of experience in a BDR, SDR, or similar outbound sales role.
Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and activity targets.
High-activity mindset, comfortable making 100+ touches per day.
Resilience and grit to push through tough prospecting days.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills to manage high daily activity.
Preferred:
Experience with field sales or in-person prospecting.
Connection to the NYC restaurant or hospitality scene.
Experience selling a disruptive or category-defining product in SMB tech sales.
Background in competitive environments such as college athletics or sales competitions.
Benefits
Competitive compensation with a target annual salary range of $55,000-65,000 OTE USD.
