Summary
Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a Business Development Specialist to join their Marketing & Business Development Department in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves supporting business development for the Emerging Companies and Venture Capital practice group and coordinating the BASE program.
About the Role
As a Business Development Specialist, you will oversee and market the BASE program, develop relationships with university executives, manage BD opportunities, and provide support to ECVC attorneys. Your responsibilities include drafting communication materials, monitoring participant satisfaction, managing pitches and proposals, and maintaining marketing collateral.
About You
Required:
- Undergraduate degree and at least four years of experience in a law firm or professional services firm.
- Strong proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience in event coordination, marketing, and/or communications functions.
- Excellent organizational skills and strong interpersonal relations.
Preferred:
- Experience in an entrepreneurial or start-up practice.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
