Summary
RedRiver Systems, LLC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Interoperability Platform to join their team in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. The role involves designing, building, and evolving an interoperability platform for securely retrieving patient records using FHIR-based APIs.
About the Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining systems that retrieve, normalize, and deliver patient data at scale. You will work across modern services and legacy integrations, collaborating with a small team in a fully remote environment. Your tasks will include designing backend services, integrating with external healthcare systems, and using AI tools to enhance development processes.
About You
Required:
- 6+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Framework / .NET 6+, ASP.NET Web API, ASP.NET MVC, Entity Framework, and SQL Server.
- Direct experience with healthcare interoperability, particularly FHIR-based integrations.
- Experience building and operating API-driven distributed systems in production environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
Preferred:
- Experience deploying and operating services in AWS or Azure environments.
- Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Demonstrated automated testing practices across unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
