About the Role
As a Cardiac Monitor Technician, you will monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms for patients, document behaviors and interventions, collaborate with nursing staff, and maintain monitoring equipment. You will also ensure patient safety by observing patients remotely and assisting with various duties related to patient monitoring.
About You
Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience reading monitors or EKGs required.
- Must be able to read and write English at a high school level.
- Ability to perform arithmetic calculations to calculate cardiac intervals.
Preferred:
- Successful completion of a basic arrhythmia class within the first 30 days of employment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with various health care team members.
