Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 is seeking a Career Pathway Intern in Technology Services for pre-qualified candidates. This part-time internship offers students an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the technology field through mentorship and online coursework.
About the Role
As a Career Pathway Intern, you will participate in IU13's Technology Management Career Pathway program, which includes online coursework from January to May, followed by an eight-week paid internship during the summer. You will be assigned an intern supervisor and a mentor to guide you through your assignments and provide insights into the technology field. The internship will focus on one of three pathways: Application Development, IT Infrastructure - Windows Server Administration Fundamentals, or IT Infrastructure - Networking Fundamentals.
About You
Required:
- Current High School student.
- Must have an interest in the technology field.
- Be at least 16 years of age by May 31 of the current year.
- Pass all clearances, including FBI, background, and child abuse.
- Pass medical physical and TB test.
- Obtain working permit before summer internship.
- Have access to internet service.
Preferred:
- Ability to work independently with remote support.
- Effective written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined.
- Willingness to speak up if problems arise.
- Ability to meet deadlines and keep weekly progress appointments.
- Acceptance of critical thinking and decision-making as part of the learning process.
- Commitment to 4 to 5 hours per week for online coursework.
- Availability to participate 3 days a week from 8 AM to 4 PM for the summer internship.
- Willingness to travel to assigned location.
