Summary
Johnson Matthey is seeking a CAS CAD Designer to join their team in West Chester, PA. The role involves daily mechanical and electrical design utilizing Computer Aided Design (CAD) in support of Clean Air Solutions Engineering.
About the Role
As a CAS CAD Designer, you will create fabrication, assembly, and general arrangement level drawings for mechanical and electro-mechanical products. You will assist in the development of new emission control products, develop Bills of Material (BOM), and ensure compliance with design and contract requirements. The position requires collaboration with various teams and maintaining engineering drawings in a drawing management system while adhering to EHS standards.
About You
Required:
- Associate or Technical Degree in Engineering Design or equivalent relevant experience.
- 2-5 years of mechanical drafting or design experience.
- 2-5 years of experience with SolidWorks, including configured models, assemblies, and 2D drawings.
- Knowledge of weldments, sheet metal design, P&IDs, electrical wiring schematics, and ASME standards.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing emission control products or subassemblies.
- Familiarity with geometric tolerancing techniques.
