Summary
SkyGrid, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Certification Engineer to join their team in Austin, Texas. The role involves owning all aspects of the certification of next-generation airspace management systems for autonomous and unmanned aircraft.
About the Role
As a Certification Engineer, you will ensure that all regulatory requirements are identified and captured, and compliance approaches are defined and agreed upon with regulatory authorities. You will develop and coordinate certification plans, track certification deliverables, and engage with regulatory authorities on certification matters. Your responsibilities will also include identifying certification risks and collaborating with technical leads to meet certification requirements.
About You
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry.
- 2+ years of experience in aircraft or systems certification.
- Strong communication skills and ability to participate in technical discussions.
- Experience with certification of aircraft systems and compliance to relevant aerospace standards.
- Experience with systems engineering principles and requirement management tools.
Preferred:
- Experience presenting to large groups including customers and regulatory authorities.
- Experience with Automated Data Service Provider certification concepts.
- Experience working with aviation regulatory agencies.
