About the Role
As a Certified Medical Assistant/Receptionist, you will coordinate care and communication with various healthcare professionals, ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies, perform patient check-ins, maintain medical records, assist with administrative tasks, and provide support in a clinical setting. You will also be responsible for greeting patients, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and addressing patient concerns with professionalism.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA or CCMA).
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an outpatient, community mental health, or similar clinical setting.
Preferred:
- Associate degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Bilingual in Spanish/English.
- Experience working with underserved populations, including Medi-Cal recipients and those with severe mental illness.
- Basic knowledge of insurance verification and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation.
