Summary
Duly Health and Care is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant- Family Practice to join their team in South Elgin, IL. The role involves assisting with patient care, supporting physicians, and conducting lab tests.
About the Role
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will greet patients, assist with registration and scheduling, measure vital signs, collect health history, support physicians during examinations and minor procedures, assist with immunizations, manage prescription requests, conduct onsite lab testing, and maintain a clean examination environment. You will also provide excellent customer service and may need to travel to assist other local clinics.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of Medical Assistant educational program or higher education courses in health sciences or related experience required.
- Active medical assistant certification through recognized organizations such as AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA.
- CPR certification or willingness to become certified upon hire required.
- Prior experience working as an MA, CMA, CNA, EMT or 2 years of prior experience working in a medical office assisting with patient care.
Preferred:
- Phlebotomy certification to be completed within 90 days of hire.
