About the Role
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will perform both administrative and clinical duties. Clinical responsibilities involve assisting with patient care, taking medical histories, recording vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and performing laboratory tests and simple x-rays. You will also communicate treatment procedures to patients, administer medications, and ensure proper documentation of medical visits.
About You
Required:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduation from an accredited Certified Medical Assistant program.
- 2+ years of clinical experience.
- Thorough education or training in medical terminology.
- Ability to effectively communicate with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
Preferred:
- Experience with NextGen Electronic Health Records (EHR) system.
- Strong analytical and active listening skills.
