About You
- High school graduate or successful completion of GED.
- Must have worked at least 2,000 hours as a nurse aide in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility during the two years prior.
- Successful completion of a Michigan state approved nurse assistant certification course.
- Current nurse assistant certification in Michigan.
- Completion of a Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) - approved Medication Aide training program.
- Successful completion of the state CMA competency exam.
- Current listing on the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry as CMA.
- Experience caring for the elderly with memory loss.
- Participation in learning and development opportunities.
