Summary
MedStar Health is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Medstar Harbor Hospital in Baltimore, MD. The role involves providing extraordinary patient care and assisting with various medical procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
About the Role
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will function as a member of the patient-centered care team, providing direct patient care activities. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), collecting specimens, performing phlebotomy and EKGs, documenting health records, and maintaining patient comfort and safety. You will also assist medical staff with procedures, monitor patient conditions, and ensure cleanliness in patient environments.
About You
Required:
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant certification program.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification from the relevant authority.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred:
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification.
- Experience as a certified nursing assistant and general health care experience in acute care, long-term care or other settings.
