Summary
MedStar Health is looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join their team at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center in Olney, MD. The role involves providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
About the Role
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will perform basic, routine, and specialized tasks in the assigned department, including assisting with patient hygiene, ambulation, and comfort measures. You will also maintain a clean and safe work environment, assist in the collection and reporting of patient data, and ensure accurate documentation. The role requires flexibility to meet departmental needs and participation in inter-departmental teams.
About You
Required:
- Experience in a hospital setting.
- Current nursing school student.
- CPR certification.
- CNA certification.
- High School Diploma/GED or completion of a certified nursing assistant program.
Preferred:
- 6 months equivalent experience in an acute care setting.
- Completion of fundamentals of nursing and one clinical rotation if a student at an accredited school of professional nursing.
